Korfball is a ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. It's played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball in a basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m (11.5 feet) high pole.

BUT korfball is different because everyone plays attack and defence, everyone shoots, and everyone can stop a goal. It's truly mixed gender - you can only play a team with 4 players of each sex.

Never played/heard of it? Our club prides itself on turning those who are totally new into long shooting legends.

Korfball in the UK has a great community. There are competitive and tournaments in the winter with more tournaments, festivals and parties all summer.
